ASLR
Also: address space layout randomization
Address space layout randomisation: the operating system places a program's regions at different addresses on each run.
In more detail
Because an attacker cannot know where code and data sit, exploiting a memory bug reliably becomes harder. ASLR does not remove the bug; leaks of addresses and other weaknesses can undo it.
