AI Agent Security (Course)
Monitor Coverage
Also: monitoring coverage, coverage gap
The share of an agent's actions that a monitor actually sees, as distinct from how accurately it judges the ones it sees.
In more detail
A monitor can have excellent detection on what it receives and still have a blind spot, such as events it never examines, a hook that is not installed for one harness, or traffic that bypasses it. An outside audit of an internal agent monitor estimated about 10 percent of eligible traffic went unwatched because one event type was skipped. The measure to track is the denominator, found by comparing an independent record of agent activity with the monitor's own log.
