Shell History

Also: bash history, command history

The file where a terminal records the commands you typed.

In more detail

Anyone or anything that can read your home folder can read it. Commands that contain a password or token on the command line are stored in plain text. Prefer reading secrets from a prompt or environment variable the command does not echo, and treat the history file as private.
