Human-in-the-Loop
Also: HITL, approval prompt
A design where a person confirms certain agent actions before they run.
In more detail
Approval prompts help for rare, high-impact actions and fail when they are constant: people click through. Studies of agent command review show humans miss a meaningful share of risky commands, so approvals work best when reserved for the few actions that deserve attention, with automated checks handling the rest.
