Command Line
Also: terminal, shell, CLI
A text interface where you type commands for the computer to run and read its replies.
In more detail
The terminal shows a prompt; you type a command and press Enter; the shell runs it as you, with your permissions. Coding agents work the same way: much of what they do is run commands in a shell, which is why what a command is about to do matters more than who typed it.
